Vietnam seafood exports up 42 pct

Vietnam’s seafood exports fetched US$450 million in the first two months of the year, a year-on-year increase of nearly 42 percent, the fisheries ministry said.

To further increase exports, the ministry has instructed authorized agencies to keep a closer eye on quality, safety, and hygiene, particularly of products destined for major markets like Australia, Japan, and Russia. It also called for measures to eliminate chemical and antibiotic residues in exports. Source: VNA
